Health Coaching vs. a Medical Weight Loss Clinic

A medical weight loss clinic is run by licensed prescribers who diagnose conditions and may prescribe medication. Victory Health & Wellness is a health-coaching practice: we measure, educate and coach daily habits, and we do not diagnose or prescribe. The two work best together — many clients see a physician or prescriber for medical care and use Victory for the nutrition, strength, sleep and accountability between appointments.

Why coaching matters alongside medication

Weight-loss medications can reduce appetite, but they do not teach the habits that keep results once the dose changes. Rapid loss can also include muscle. Our coaching focuses on adequate protein, strength training, sleep and measured body composition so your physician has better data and you keep what you build.

How we work with your care team

With your permission, we share objective reports — body composition, metabolic testing and progress summaries — with your physician. If anything in your results or symptoms needs medical attention, we tell you and point you back to your provider.
