DNA-Based Coaching: Stop Guessing, Start With Your Genes

Diets and workout plans aren't unique to you — your DNA is. One simple cheek swab turns into a personalized nutrition, exercise, and healthy-aging report, and your Victory coach turns that report into a plan you can live with.

Self-pay & FSA/HSA

Wellness, lifestyle, and overall health appointments and services are self-pay. FSA/HSA cards may be used when a service is deemed medically necessary by your provider; we can provide an itemized receipt for reimbursement.

Why Genetics-Informed Coaching

Any plan that ignores your genetic profile is, at some level, guesswork.

Grounded in Research

The panels we coach from are built on published research in nutrigenomics and exercise genomics, and each report cites the science behind its guidance so you can read the reasoning yourself.

Built Around You

Generic programs assume everyone processes food and training the same way. A DNA-based plan starts from your genotype instead of a template, so the plan fits your biology from day one.

You're Not Doing It Alone

A report on its own changes nothing. Your Victory coach walks through the results with you and turns them into weekly habits, meals, and workouts you can actually sustain.

Five DNA & Microbiome Pathways

Choose the panel that matches your goal — weight, longevity, micronutrients, performance, or gut health.

DNA Weight Management

Diets aren't unique to you — your DNA is.

A weight-management panel that looks at how your body handles carbohydrates, fat, and protein, plus how you respond to different types of exercise. Your report translates into a macronutrient range, calorie target, nutrient priorities, and a cardio/strength mix that matches your genotype.

  • Genetic traits related to weight management
  • Food and macronutrient options
  • Nutrient and supplement considerations
  • Cardio and strength training guidance

DNA Healthy Aging

Healthy aging, down to a science.

A longevity-focused panel covering traits tied to how you age — skin health, mental sharpness, sleep, vision, organ health, and healthy weight — with food, nutrient, activity, and lifestyle options designed to help you feel and function well longer.

  • Genetic traits related to healthy aging
  • Skin, sleep, vision, and cognitive-support traits
  • Nutrient and food options
  • Activity and lifestyle strategies

DNA Micronutrient Analysis

A balanced diet still isn't the whole story.

A micronutrient panel that looks at how your body is genetically predisposed to absorb and use key vitamins and minerals. Even on a well-balanced diet, most people process one or more micronutrients less efficiently — this report shows which ones deserve attention in your food choices.

  • Genetic traits related to vitamin and mineral absorption
  • Food-first strategies for the nutrients you use less efficiently
  • Supplement considerations to discuss with your provider
  • A nutrition baseline your coach can build meals around

DNA Performance

The power to excel is already in you.

A performance panel for athletes and active adults: training response, fuel utilization, recovery needs, injury-resilience traits, and VO2 max-related markers — so your programming, fueling, and rest days are built around how your body actually adapts.

  • Training response and adaptation traits
  • Fuel utilization (fat vs. carbohydrate)
  • Recovery and injury-resilience considerations
  • Programming guidance for your genotype

Gut Microbiome Analysis

Your gut bacteria shape how you feel.

A companion to the DNA panels: a snapshot of your gut microbiome that scores functional capabilities from 0 to 100% and comes with food and basic-nutrient guidance to help bring the balance back toward where you want it.

  • Microbiome functional capability scoring
  • Food-based strategies to support gut balance
  • Basic nutrient considerations
  • Pairs with any DNA panel for a fuller picture

Every panel includes an at-home DNA collection kit, certified laboratory analysis, a secure interactive report with a printable PDF, and a coaching session to build your plan. Panel pricing is confirmed during your consultation.

How It Works

Five steps from swab to a plan you're actually following.

  1. Start With a Consultation

We talk through your goals and decide together whether a weight-management, healthy-aging, or performance panel fits best — or whether a different starting point makes more sense.

  2. Collect Your Sample at Home

Your kit arrives at the address you choose. Swab along your gums for about a minute, seal the sample, and mail it back in the same packaging.

  3. Lab Analysis

A certified laboratory analyzes your sample and identifies the genetic markers on your panel. Results typically come back in about two to three weeks.

  4. Get Your Report

You receive a secure, interactive online report — plus a printable PDF — that you can open from any phone, tablet, or computer.

  5. Turn It Into a Plan

In your review session, your coach maps the report onto your real life: groceries, meal structure, training days, sleep, and what to track next.

Who This Is For

  • Anyone who has followed a popular diet or training plan and gotten disappointing results
  • Clients who want their nutrition plan built from data instead of trial and error
  • Adults focused on healthy aging and long-term function, not just weight
  • Athletes and active adults optimizing training, fueling, and recovery
  • H.E.A.L.T.H. Program and Metabolic Intelligence clients who want a genetic layer added to their plan
  • 23andMe or AncestryDNA customers who already have raw data and want lifestyle guidance from it

DNA-based coaching for Austin and Central Texas

The swab itself takes two minutes and can be done at either clinic or at home, which means the location that matters is where you meet your coach. Clients in Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown and Taylor usually work out of our Hutto clinic on E. Wilco Highway; clients in central and west Austin, Rollingwood, Bee Cave and Lakeway use our West Lake Hills clinic on Bee Caves Road. Report reviews and follow-ups run by secure video for anyone who would rather not add a drive to the calendar.

A genetic report is a starting hypothesis, not a verdict. We pair it with measurable baselines — body composition, labs where indicated, and how you actually feel week to week — so the plan responds to your results rather than only to your report.

Questions

DNA-based coaching questions

How the swab works, what your report covers, and where coaching ends and medical care begins.

What is DNA-based coaching?
It's health, nutrition, and fitness coaching guided by a DNA lifestyle report. A simple cheek swab is analyzed for genetic markers related to nutrition, exercise response, and healthy aging, and your Victory coach uses those results to build a food, movement, and lifestyle plan tailored to your genotype instead of a generic template.
How does the DNA test work?
You receive a collection kit at the address you choose. You rub a sterile swab along your gums for about a minute, pack the sample, and mail it back. A certified lab analyzes it and your interactive report is usually ready in about two to three weeks.
Is this a medical or disease-risk genetic test?
No. These are wellness and lifestyle reports. They do not diagnose conditions, screen for disease risk, or replace clinical genetic testing and genetic counseling. If you want diagnostic genetic testing, that's a conversation for your physician — see our Scope of Care page for what coaching does and does not include.
What will my report actually tell me?
Depending on the panel, it covers traits such as how you process carbohydrates, fat, and protein, your likely response to cardio versus strength training, nutrient needs, recovery tendencies, and healthy-aging markers like sleep, skin, and cognitive support — each with educational guidance and the supporting research.
I already used 23andMe or AncestryDNA. Can you use that?
In many cases yes — existing raw data can often be used to generate a lifestyle report without a new swab. Bring it to your consultation and we'll confirm whether your file is compatible.
Do I have to retest later?
No. Your DNA doesn't change, so the report is a one-time investment. What changes over time is your plan, which your coach adjusts as your labs, body composition, and goals evolve.
Is DNA-based coaching available virtually?
Yes. Kits ship to you and coaching sessions can be held by secure video, so DNA-based coaching is available virtually across the United States as well as in person in Hutto and West Lake Hills, TX.
Can I pay for a DNA panel with my FSA or HSA card?
DNA lifestyle panels and the coaching that goes with them are self-pay. Some plans will reimburse the panel when your provider deems it medically appropriate, so we itemize the kit and coaching separately on your receipt to make that claim easier.
Is my genetic information kept private?
Yes. Samples are processed by a certified laboratory and results are delivered through a secure portal that only you and your care team access. We never sell or share your genetic data.
