How it works
Four steps from choosing a service to paying with your health account.
1. Choose your service or program
Pick the wellness program, testing, or coaching package you want — in Hutto, West Lake Hills, or virtually.
2. Select “Pay with HSA/FSA”
At checkout, choose the Truemed HSA/FSA option instead of a standard card payment.
3. Complete a clinical intake form
Truemed collects a short health questionnaire that an independent licensed practitioner reviews.
4. Pay pre-tax if you qualify
If the practitioner determines your purchase is medically necessary, a Letter of Medical Necessity is issued and you can pay with HSA/FSA funds.

What pre-tax dollars are worth for Austin-area clients
HSA and FSA contributions are payroll deductions taken before federal income tax and FICA. Texas has no state income tax, so for most Central Texas households the pre-tax advantage comes from the federal bracket plus the 7.65% FICA share — commonly a 25% to 35% effective difference compared with paying post-tax. - An HSA (Health Savings Account) and an FSA (Flexible Spending Account) are pre-tax health benefit accounts that may be used for eligible health expenses. Victory Health & Wellness has partnered with Truemed so qualified clients can apply HSA/FSA funds to eligible services. Eligibility depends on your individual circumstances and is determined by an independent licensed practitioner through a clinical intake form.
- How do I pay with my HSA/FSA at Victory Health & Wellness?
- Choose the service you want and select “Pay with HSA/FSA” (Truemed) at checkout. You will complete a short clinical intake form. If the reviewing practitioner determines your purchase is medically necessary, a Letter of Medical Necessity is issued and your HSA/FSA payment is processed.
- Which Victory services are HSA/FSA eligible?
- Many of our wellness programs, functional lab panels, body composition and VO2 max testing, metabolic health services, and weight management services may qualify. Truemed determines which items are eligible based on IRS guidelines, so the list can change over time. Ask us during your free consultation if you are unsure about a specific service.
- Am I guaranteed to qualify?
- No. Qualification is never automatic. An independent licensed practitioner reviews your intake responses and decides whether a Letter of Medical Necessity is appropriate. If you do not qualify, you can still pay with a standard payment method.
- How much can I save?
- Savings depend on your tax bracket and your available HSA/FSA balance. Because these accounts are funded with pre-tax dollars, many people effectively save roughly 30% compared with paying out of pocket. We cannot give tax advice — check with your plan administrator or tax professional.
- What if I use my HSA/FSA card and later have a question about the charge?
- Keep the Letter of Medical Necessity that Truemed issues, along with your receipt. Those documents are what your plan administrator will ask for if they request substantiation for the expense.
